Star Trek Destiny eBooks are on sale in August

If you’ve been waiting for the perfect chance to grab up affordable copies of my epic and status-quo-shattering Star Trek Destiny trilogy, now is your chance! The entire trilogy is on sale in eBook format from Amazon (and other eBook retailers) throughout the month of August 2018.

It’s a tale of the Federation’s last stand against the Borg Collective; of a valiant crew set adrift and then lost to history by accidental time travel; and of sacrifices great and small in the face of a seemingly unstoppable catastrophe.

From the back cover of the trilogy’s omnibus edition:

Half a decade after the Dominion War and more than a year after the rise and fall of Praetor Shinzon, the galaxy’s greatest scourge, the Borg, returns to wreak havoc upon the Federation — and this time, its goal is nothing less than total annihilation.

This is the trilogy that changed all the rules for what Star Trek novels can be and do. If you haven’t read them yet, this is the perfect opportunity to grab them at an unbeatable price!

Star Trek Mirror Universe eBooks on sale in April

A new month means a new Star Trek eBooks promotion. This month’s featured deal is the Mirror Universe books!  There are five titles on sale for $0.99 each during the month of April. Here they are in original publication order:

Star Trek: Mirror Universe: Glass Empires

Star Trek: Mirror Universe: Obsidian Alliances

Star Trek: Mirror Universe: The Sorrows of Empire

Star Trek: Mirror Universe: Shards and Shadows

Star Trek: Mirror Universe: Rise Like Lions

If you haven’t read these before, there are a few things you should know.

First, they were written to sync with the depiction of the Mirror Universe as it had been shown through the end of the Star Trek: Deep Space Nine series, and to coordinate with the ongoing Star Trek literary continuity. Some recent changes to canon on Star Trek: Discovery won’t jibe with these books.

Second, The Sorrows of Empire is a greatly expanded and revised version of my original short novel in the first anthology, Glass Empires. For the novel version I nearly doubled the length of the book and made a number of changes and edits to improve upon the original.

Third, I contributed to all of these volumes.
In the second anthology, Obsidian Alliances, I wrote the DS9 short novel Saturn’s Children under the pseudonym Sarah Shaw. My short story For Want of a Nail concludes the short-story anthology Shards and Shadows.

Fourth (and finally), the events of The Sorrows of Empire, Saturn’s Children, “For Want…”, and Rise Like Lions all have continuity links to my other Star Trek novels (especially my Section 31 books and my TNG trilogy Cold Equations), so get ready to spot some Easter eggs!

Vanguard eBooks just 99 cents through end of March

Of all my contributions to Star Trek literature, the one I had the most fun creating, and remain proudest of, is the STAR TREK VANGUARD saga. It spans seven novels, one anthology, and one novella coda.

The series offers readers a look at what was going on in other parts of the Federation during the time of the Enterprise‘s on-screen missions in The Original Series. The idea was to show that events off-screen precipitated situations that Captain Kirk and his crew encountered, and that actions they took had consequences beyond what was shown on-screen.

I developed the Star Trek Vanguard saga with editor Marco Palmieri and alternated writing privileges with the super-duo of Dayton Ward & Kevin Dilmore. It was a strange way to collaborate on a series, but it worked for us, and we all had a blast doing it. Working on this series with these wonderful guys was an experience for which I’ll always be grateful.

Now I’m thrilled to report that the entire Star Trek Vanguard saga is on sale in eBook format for just $0.99 per title through the end of March 2018. Get the complete saga—which tells a self-contained Star Trek epic tale—for just $8.91!

Here they are, in reading order and everything:

Harbinger
Summon the Thunder
Reap the Whirlwind
Open Secrets
Precipice
Declassified
What Judgments Come
Storming Heaven
In Tempest’s Wake

Tell all your friends who love Star Trek (especially The Original Series) to get in on this.

Desperate Hours is January’s Kindle Monthly Deal

To celebrate the arrival of new episodes of Star Trek: Discovery on January 7, the folks at Simon & Schuster and Amazon have teamed up to bring Star Trek book fans an awesome Kindle Monthly Deal: for the month of January 2018, the eBook version of my Star Trek: Discovery novel Desperate Hours will be on sale for just $1.99!

Make no mistake, that’s a huge savings. The eBook’s price is normally chained to the cost of the print edition, meaning that some sites were charging as much as $15.99 for the eBook. So this is $14 off the cover price.

Bottom line: If you’ve been putting off picking up the eBook of Desperate Hours until the price hit a more reasonable level, this is the moment you’ve been waiting for. Grab a copy of the eBook and make sure to share the news far and wide.

Star Trek Destiny to Be a Kindle Daily Deal!

If you’ve been curious about my Star Trek Destiny trilogy but haven’t yet bought it, or if you know someone who fits that description, this news is for you.

On Wednesday, October 23, 2013, the eBook versions of all three books in the Star Trek Destiny trilogy — Gods of Night, Mere Mortals, and Lost Souls — will be on sale for $1.99 each as featured titles of the Amazon Kindle Daily Deal.

That’s right — the entire original version of this epic trilogy, which chronicles the Federation’s long-dreaded final showdown with the Borg, can be obtained in eBook format for the low price of just $5.97. Sweet, eh?

This one-day-only promotion will, I’m told, be promoted as a sort of “mini-Gold Box” feature. I don’t really know what that means, but here’s what I do know: This is a great way to lure the Star Trek fans among your friends and family into reading the Star Trek novels. So spread the word far and wide:

Your Star Trek Destiny awaits!

Get the Destiny trilogy for just $3

destiny_omniIf you’ve been waiting for an awesome deal before buying my Star Trek Destiny trilogy, here it is:

Buy the trade paperback omnibus edition (i.e., all three books in one volume) of my Star Trek Destiny trilogy for just $3 each at BookCloseouts.com.

My friend and fellow author Allyn Gibson alerted me to this great deal, because he figured I’d want to stock up on copies for conventions and the like.

However, these are “scratches and dents” copies, which means they’re in slightly less than perfect condition, and I wouldn’t feel good about charging a fan full price for one of these, with or without an autograph.

Instead, I just want to share the opportunity so that someone who’d been on the fence about reading the trilogy can now grab a copy dirt-cheap. So spread the word and snap up those copies — as of this posting, only 28 remain available, and I suspect they’ll go fast….

Get Cold Equations while it’s hot!

Get all three books for just $0.99 each — or give them as gifts. Really, at this price, how can you afford not to? But act fast — this deal is good only for today, Friday, May 17, 2013!
