David Mack is the award-winning and New York Times bestselling author of thirty-six novels of science fiction, fantasy, and adventure, including the Star Trek Destiny and Cold Equations trilogies. His writing credits span several media, including television (for episodes of Star Trek: Deep Space Nine), short fiction, and comic books. Mack presently works as a consultant on two television series: Star Trek: Lower Decks, produced by Mike McMahan, and Star Trek: Prodigy, being produced for Nickelodeon by Dan Hageman and Kevin Hageman. Mack resides in New York City.

Mack’s writing credits span television (for episodes of Star Trek: Deep Space Nine), film, and comic books. His latest novels are The Shadow Commission, the final volume of his Dark Arts trilogy published by Tor books; and his long-postponed Star Trek novel More Beautiful Than Death.
His upcoming projects include short stories in two crowd-funded anthologies, and a new Star Trek novel.
He currently works as a consultant on two animated television series: Star Trek: Lower Decks, and the upcoming Star Trek: Prodigy.
Mack resides in New York City with his wife, Kara.
