On Sale Tomorrow: Destiny redux

Just over three years ago, fans and critics started praising the Star Trek Destiny trilogy, and that word-of-mouth has sustained the trilogy’s sales since then, making it my single most successful project to date.

Now, at the behest of my publisher and editors, a new collected edition of the trilogy has been prepared. This 305,000-word epic is perfect for propping open doors and crushing large bugs, and it’s more than enough fuel to jump-start even the largest bonfire!

Seriously, although I resisted the urge to make any major changes, additions, or subtractions from the original text, I used this new edition as an opportunity to streamline my prose styling a bit. I curbed some of my original excesses; as I’ve joked elsewhere, this new omnibus edition is 80-percent less Stygian, has fifty percent fewer smirks, smiles, and grins, and it’s twenty percent less brooding.

I’ve also taken this occasion as an opportunity to update my online store. I’ve restocked a few copies of some of my older titles (such as Harbinger, Warpath, and Road of Bones) and I’ve added my comic-book work to the mix. So, if you’re hankering for an autographed copy of one of my books but can’t make it to one of my scheduled convention appearances this year — Shore Leave (Baltimore) in August; New York Comic Con (NYC) and Geek Media Expo (Nashville) in October — then this is your best bet.

Also, don’t forget: Coming in just two weeks is Storming Heaven, the harrowing finale of the Star Trek Vanguard saga. More goodies will be coming soon to the Star Trek Vanguard Finale Page, but if you want to enter for a chance to win an autographed complete set of the series, submit your question for the Vanguard Farewell Podcast by 11:59PM EDT tomorrow, Tuesday, March 13, 2012!
