Condolences to Scott Edelman

For anyone who reads this and knows Scott Edelman, but doesn’t keep in touch with him or read his blog, know that his father, the painter Barnet “Barney” Edelman, passed away one week ago today.

Regardless of whether you knew Scott and/or his father, I encourage you to read Scott’s moving and elegiac post about it; his eulogy for his father is one of the most heartbreaking examples of the importance of a father’s love to his children.

Every parent should hope they deserve to be memorialized by their children with such eloquence and love.
